 So you want to be a Tennis Coach?

As well as love for the game and plenty of enthusiam you'll need each of the following:

1. A recognised Coaching Qualification
2. A current enhanced CRB check for access to children (under 6
    months old)
3. Public Liability Insurance (provided free by some organisations such
   as TennisCoach UK)
4. Current First Aid certificate
Coaching organisations recognised in the UK and Ireland

The following are recognised in the UK and EU and provide coach certification. The PTR is a worldwide organisation. Click on the listings below to find out about course details,content and costing plus member benefits

1. Lawn Tennis Association: Provides official governing body courses at all levels.
2. PTR UK: UK branch of Professional Tennis Registry first set up by Dennis van der Meer
3. MTCA Europe: Certifies using the Modern Tennis method devised by coach Oscar Wegner
4. RPT Europe: Organisation with strong representation and links throught Europe.
5. Tennis Ireland: Provides official governing body courses at all levels in Ireland (including Northern
    Ireland)
 
TennisCoach UK (formerly British Tennis Coaches Association) is the leading representative body for Coaches in the UK. It does not certify members but provides an extensive range of benefits and a succssful annual conference.

TICA (Tennis Ireland Coaches Association) is the association for coaches in Ireland and fulfils a similar role to the BTCA
