South Liverpool Community Tennis Centre at St Julie's School, Woolton | |
| Find out all about the Tennis Foundation here | From 2010 the SOUTH LIVERPOOL COMMUNITY TENNIS CENTRE is opening at St Julie’s School in Woolton. This is a partnership between the school, the South Liverpool School Sports Partnership and the existing ‘Tennis Liverpool’ programme based at Palmerston Tennis Club, and the Tennis Foundation (LTA Charitable Arm) and will offer 8 courts open to the community for free use outside of school hours.
We are running a pilot 10 week coaching and activity programme for this summer with the aim of obtaining funding to upgrade the facility later in the year to provide refurbished courts, a clubhouse and, eventually, floodlit courts. | | The school have donated use of a clubhouse building situated 100 yards from the courts. Parking is available in the Sunflower Centre on Speke Road or by the courts.
For the meantime access is through the school main entrance then follow the internal road bearing right then left at the top of the site.
|
| The membership package will combine coaching with priority free use of the courts when not required for activities. Parents of junior members will be able to play free of charge with their children at all times and also to join in the junior coaching sessions for free. Rackets and Balls will be provided for all sessions.
| | The coaching staff will consist of David Simms (Programme Director), Matt Shone and Kristine George (Centre Coaches) and Ashley Ali (Junior Ternnis Leader)
