| ...about the Wilson Liverpool and District Tennis Group The Liverpool and District Tennis Group have been organising the organising local inter club competitions for over 60 years and is affiliated to both the LTA and Tennis Lancashire. The committee is drawn from volunteer representatives from member clubs. The group administer entries, publish fixtures and results tables and rule on disputed outcomes. Each September an annual dance and prize giving event is run. Liverpool Summer Tennis Competitions Inter Club Leagues Late April - early August. 3 Doubles pairs per team each playing two best of three set rubbers per match. From 2007 a 'super tiebreak' replaced a deciding set. Virtually all member clubs enter sufficient teams to give everyone a go! Fairlawn Trophy May - August. 4 Mixed Doubles pairs per club each playing 2 best of three set rubbers. Brockbank Trophy August/September. 5 separate best of three set rubbers: Mens Singles, Ladies Singles, Mens Doubles,Ladies Doubles, Mixed Doubles | ||
